Hi Bob, I've loaded a few chutes in the top of the tail being a crew chief. We had a big chute stand that encompassed the tail of the B-52. It had a crank hoist and we lifted it up and then removed the empty chute bag and spring loaded droge chute canister and installed reloaded chute and droge. Then cranked the open chute door until the latches clicked shut.

I was down the flightpath when it took off from Fairford yesterday delivering to a customer .First time I had heard one takeoff and was surprised how loud it was.
